Mr. Elias Gunnarsson the Honorary Consul General to India in Reykjavik is an engineer by education and has for a long time been operating his own company Meka ehf. Meka ehf and Elias have mainly been providing consulting and engineering services to fishing and fish processing companies around the world.

Mr. Gunnarsson has a long standing relationship to
India having been the main force behind the Sæplast India factory in Gujarat where he still retains a significant share. Elias has travelled to India on numerous occations to get acquainted with the country and its people.
